FYI: DELIVERING HEALTH AND HOPE TO THE WORLD –
PARTNERING WITH PROJECT CURE

From our very first product, Baxa has been committed to providing products that enhance and ensure patient safety. As we have grown, that commitment has grown to supporting organizations sharing that goal. Baxa Corporation is partnering with Project CURE (Commission on Urgent Relief and Equipment) to use our expertise and corporate resources to help them with their goal of delivering health and hope to the world.

More than 11 million children younger than five years old die each year from preventable causes. Each year, Project CURE collects thousands of pounds of donated medical supplies and equipment from medical manufacturers, distributors, hospitals and other healthcare providers. Many of these items are new and unused kit components or overstock supplies as a result of renovation, replacement or re-orders. Thousands of volunteers sort and inventory the donations – from scalpels and sutures to wheelchairs and beds. These supplies and equipment are loaded into cargo containers and shipped to needy hospitals and clinics in more than 100 developing countries around the world.
Project CURE, founded in 1987 in Denver, Colorado, is the world’s largest supplier of donated medical supplies and equipment to the developing world.

More than 10,000 volunteers nationwide work with thousands of medical supply and equipment donors to pack and deliver more than two cargo containers each week. And, they do this operating on less than 2% administrative and fundraising overhead.

I’d like you to join me in supporting Project CURE’s efforts to address the needs of our poorest neighbors. One way is by using your Baxa Bucks coupons to donate funds to Project CURE. We expect to add this charitable contribution to our catalog shortly. You can join their supplier community by arranging donations online at www.projectcure.org. Project CURE provides a variety of volunteer opportunities and accepts donations of all sizes. Visit their Web site to learn more about how you can help deliver much-needed medical relief.
