Skills Training, Academics and Resources Center offers practical training in compliance requirements When <797> was introduced officially in the 27th Revision of the United States Pharmacopeia, on January 1, 2004 it became enforceable by the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA). Since then, the guidelines have been adopted by some pharmacy regulatory and accrediting bodies, including numerous State Boards of Pharmacy and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. As of January 1, 2005, USP 28 is the official source of <797>. Proposed revisions to the original guidelines have been published for comment on the USP Web site and updated information can be accessed by CLICKING HERE . But, whether you’re fully compliant or fully confused, you can learn more about pharmacy best practice and USP compliance by attending the STAR Center course, Compliance Tools and Aseptic Certification for USP <797>.
