WHAT IS EBUG AND WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?
Results from eBUG Surveys
Launched in 2005, eBUG (the electronic Baxa users’ group) is an active online community for Baxa hardware customers where questions, answers, and best practices can be shared. Last October, online and GoodNews surveys were sent
to eBUG members and general Baxa customers to evaluate the current site
and determine what areas are in need
of improvement.
The feedback helped us learn more about our members and what they consider valuable about eBUG. In addition, we received great suggestions for improvements that will help set the stage for siteupgrades scheduled for later this year. A summary of the survey results is below:
- Exacta-Mix™ 2400 Compounder and Abacus™ TPN Software customers are the core foundation of the eBUG community. 74% of respondents stated they use Abacus; 68% use the Exacta-Mix 2400.
- Most members value the eBUG site – 56% of respondents stated eBUG was either ‘Great’ or ‘Useful.’ Many members (37%) consider the site to be a good idea, but that it could be improved. Only (7%) of respondents did not think eBUG was useful.
- When asked what current eBUG features are valuable, the product and technical aspects to eBUG got the highest ratings. The feature that stood out as ‘Very Valuable’ was product references, while product updates and the ability to ask questions were rated as ‘Valuable.’

Based on your feedback, we feel it is worthwhile to continue the site, and to make improvements to eBUG that will better serve you and your pharmacy.
